An IKEA store in Italy is letting in stray dogs during cold winter months
In a heartwarming gesture, an IKEA store in Catania, Italy, is drawing praises by allowing stray dogs to sleep inside its premises to keep them warm during harsh winter months.
Social media users from all over the world are praising the furniture retailer’s open-door policy for stray animals after video and photos of the dogs circulated online.
“A good initiative to shelter the strays while it’s raining outside,” read the video caption. “Do we want to applaud this civilization?”
In addition to providing the dogs comfortable rugs to sleep on, employees also groom and feed the dogs.
A few of the dogs have even been adopted by members of the staff.
