This retirement center cares for abandoned senior dogs and fills their last years with love
Life can get tough for canines who get abandoned by their owners in old age. They often end up in animal shelters where the conditions they’re kept in are less than ideal. And because of their advanced age, the chances of them getting adopted get pretty bleak.
However, there is a new retirement sanctuary for these abandoned senior pooches called the Marty’s Place in Upper Freehold, New Jersey, where many of them are getting a whole new “leash” on life.
Amenities at the upscale doggy retirement village include generous living quarters, medical and dental care, regular exercise, and activities geared toward their capabilities and limitations.
With plenty of sofas for just hanging out—and even an in-ground pool for those inclined to take a dip—every dog here is ensured of having his or her day.
